Training is a very important part of a dog's life. A properly trained dog makes for a happier dog and owner. At Dave's Doggie Den, we believe in positive-reinforcement training. We work on obedience as well as manners. We want your dog to learn to listen in every day situations, not just in your home or class.

Basic Obedience & Manners
Start your dog on the right path toward good behavior for life. This eight week class will begin to familiarize your puppy (or adult dog) with common commands, such as sit, down, stay, come and others and establish the proper "pack order" in your relationship with the dog. We also address issues with manners, such as jumping, nipping, chewing, etc. Puppies must be at least twelve weeks old to begin this class.

Doggie Bootcamp (overnight)
We train for you! Fifteen day minimum.
Your dog will live with us in a very structured environment with an established "pack order". They will learn what is expected of them in terms of behavior, boundaries, and chain-of-command. Weekly private sessions with the owner to review progress, and to teach the owner what we've taught the dog. You pick your dog up for the weekends.

Private Training Sessions
More personalized training for you and your dog. This training can be set up to fit your schedule.

Private, In-Home Sessions
We come to your home to evaluate your dog and provide private lessons to help set training priorities, establish boundaries and help nurture a positive relationship between you and your canine companion.

Advanced Training - every Wednesday @ 6:00 pm
An extention of the basic class. The goal of this class is training the dog to listen and obey commands off-leash. This class also incorporates some agility training.

Protection Training - every Wednesday @7:00 pm **
Protection training focuses on teaching a dog to protect its owner. The goal is to establish a friendly, good-natured family member, while also providing an alert, courageous and obedient companion. We do NOT promote dog aggression. A good description of this class is summarized by Dave, " We make your dog into a man stopper, not a man-eater." or "You are getting a bodyguard, not a hitman."

**Every dog must be evaluated before it is allowed to be protection trained.
